The kitchen is the room DFW buyers judge first and the one your family uses most. A good remodel fixes how it works — walking paths, storage, light and where people gather — not just how it looks. At LRTX Remodel we design and build kitchens across Dallas–Fort Worth from first sketch to final inspection, with one team and one written price.
What a kitchen remodel with us includes
Every kitchen starts with a measured in-home consultation. We look at how the room connects to the living and dining areas, where plumbing, gas and venting run, and what is behind the walls in your home’s era of construction. Then we design: floor plan, elevations, 3D renderings and a full selections list — cabinets, countertops, sink and faucet, backsplash, lighting, hardware, appliances and flooring.
- Layout changes: opening a wall to the family room, moving the sink to an island, adding a walk-in pantry or a coffee bar.
- Cabinets: semi-custom and custom lines, full-height uppers, drawer bases, pull-outs and appliance garages.
- Countertops: quartz, quartzite, granite and solid surface, templated and installed by our fabrication partners.
- Lighting: recessed cans on dimmers, under-cabinet LED, pendants over the island — planned with the electrical layout, not added at the end.
- Ventilation: range hoods ducted to the exterior to code, sized for the cooktop.
- Flooring: tile, hardwood or luxury vinyl plank installed by our own flooring crew and blended into adjoining rooms.
What does a kitchen remodel cost in DFW?
Most of our kitchen remodels fall between $30,000–$120,000. Where you land depends on three things: whether the layout changes (moving plumbing, gas or walls), the cabinet line, and the countertop material. A cosmetic update that keeps the footprint sits at the low end. Removing a load-bearing wall with a new beam, a large island and custom cabinetry sits at the high end.
You get one fixed, itemized price in writing before work begins. If we find something hidden — rotted subfloor under the dishwasher, old aluminum wiring — we show you photos and price the fix before doing it. Read our full kitchen remodel cost guide for a line-by-line breakdown.
How long does it take?
Plan on 2–4 weeks for design and selections, then 6–10 weeks of construction for most kitchens. Custom cabinets and special-order stone are the usual long-lead items, so we order them as soon as drawings are approved and schedule demolition so your kitchen is out of service for as little time as possible. We can set up a temporary kitchen area with your refrigerator and microwave.
Kitchens in DFW homes: what we plan for
North Texas homes have their quirks. Many 1960s–1980s ranch homes in Fort Worth, Arlington and North Richland Hills have closed-off galley kitchens and soffits hiding ductwork. 1990s–2000s homes in Keller, Southlake, Plano and Frisco often have builder-grade cabinets, angled islands and tile counters that are ready to go. Homes on expansive clay soil can have slab movement, so we check for cracks and level before installing long runs of cabinets and stone. We design around all of it from day one.
