When the kitchen, the baths, the floors and the layout all need work, doing it as one project saves money, time and months of living in a construction zone. LRTX Remodel plans and builds whole-home renovations across Dallas–Fort Worth — from opening up a closed-off 1970s floor plan to fully updating a 2000s home that still has its original builder finishes.
What a whole-home remodel can include
- Removing or relocating walls (with engineered beams where needed) for an open kitchen, dining and living area.
- New kitchen and every bathroom, designed together so finishes flow through the house.
- New flooring throughout — hardwood, engineered wood, tile or luxury vinyl plank — installed by our own flooring crew.
- Electrical panel and wiring updates, recessed lighting, plumbing re-pipes and HVAC duct changes.
- Interior doors, trim, stair rails, fireplace surrounds, built-ins and paint.
- Windows, insulation and energy upgrades.
How we plan it
Whole-home projects need more planning, not less. We measure the full house, document existing conditions, bring in a structural engineer when walls move, and design the entire scope before construction starts. You approve one plan, one set of selections and one fixed price. We then phase the work — often demolition, structural and rough-ins first, then kitchen and baths, then floors and finishes — and give you a written schedule.
Cost
Whole-home remodels in DFW typically run $90–$250 per sq ft of renovated area, depending on how much structure and how many systems change. A cosmetic renovation with new finishes throughout is at the low end; gutting to studs with a new layout, new systems and custom finishes is at the high end. See our whole-home remodel cost guide.
Can we stay in the house?
For a partial-house project, usually yes — we seal off work zones and keep one bath and a temporary kitchen working. For a gut renovation, most families move out for part of the job, which shortens the schedule and lowers cost.
